Breast Cancer Screening

St. Mary’s offers digital breast cancer screening mammograms, which are low-dose X-rays that can detect irregularities in the breast that neither you nor your doctor can feel.

About 10 to 12 percent of people who have mammograms may be asked to return for further imaging or an ultrasound of the breast due to changes in the tissue or inconclusive readings. Most of these changes in the breast are normal.
